To Mom, With Love: Mother's Day with Z SUPPLY

This year for Mother's Day we wanted to do something special, something that truly captures the essence of motherhood and the unique bond between mothers and daughters. That's why we decided to invite three incredible employees alongside their mother or daughter for a photoshoot: Taylor and her mother Carolyn, Katie and her daughter Emma, as well as Juanita and her daughter Betty.

The inspiration behind this event came from our recent partnerships with Mary Lawless Lee, Pia Baroncini and Justine Cuenco. Through these partnerships, we dove into the joys and challenges of life and motherhood, celebrating the strength, love, and resilience that defines it. Mary, Pia and Justine shared their stories, insights, and experiences, inspiring us to create a campaign that honors the incredible bond between mothers and daughters.

Our Mother's Day photoshoot was an extremely heartwarming day witnessing the special bonds and unforgettable moments between each mother-daughter duo. At the end of the photoshoot, the families took a moment to read the heartfelt letters that they wrote to one another. These letters, filled with love, gratitude, and memories, became an integral part of our campaign, "To Mom, With Love."

Taylor and Carolyn

To Mom,

I wanted to start off by saying thank you. Thank you for the life you have worked so hard to give me. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. You have been a mother when I needed someone to guide me and a best friend who’s supported me through my own journey.

Growing up, our house was filled with love and laughter. You made sure my childhood was nothing short of magical, and I know how lucky I am to have you as my mom. Not many other mothers wake up at 5am on Easter to make sure every kid in the neighborhood has bunny footprints and eggs full of candy on their front porch. You showed up for every practice, game, rehearsal, and performance, cheering me on even though I mostly sat on the bench and wasn’t very coordinated. Although, I did get that from you.

After years of playing dress up in your closet and lots of shopping trips together, you have taught me that every great outfit starts with a good pair of jeans and lots of accessories. We both have more shoes and jewelry than we know what to do with.

As a mom and a friend, you are funny, loving, supportive, and strong. You are independent, hardworking, and strong-willed. You accomplish everything you set your mind to, and I have been so inspired watching you make your dreams a reality.

Through the recent years, we have both learned that life is too short and tomorrow is never guaranteed, but through all of the struggles, you have taught me to count my blessings, believe in miracles, and to keep pushing through. You have always taught me to look at the positive things in life and to be thankful for every opportunity that comes my way.

One day, when I am lucky enough to one day be a mother, I hope I can be half of the mom that you are to me. Thank you again for being the best mom in the whole world. I love you!

With Love,

Taylor

Dear Taylor,

When I became pregnant, I decided I didn’t want to find out the gender of my baby. I knew it wouldn't make a difference to me, and I would love a boy or a girl. When the midwife announced “it's a girl,” I got my Taylor. I couldn’t have imagined all the joy and blessings the future would hold being a girl mom. I had so much fun dressing you in cute ensembles. Whenever we were out, people would stop me and tell me what a beautiful baby you were. My little fashionista went from princess dresses to prom dresses to designer dresses in a blink of an eye.

The close bond we have is something that every mom would desire to have with their daughter. Not only are we mother and daughter, but we are also friends, confidants, and advice givers who love each other unconditionally. We connect in so many ways and can talk for hours, whether it's just chatting about life, the social media accounts we follow, or the current fashions. How many moms get to shop in their daughter’s closet?

One of my favorite characteristics about you as an adult is that any time a difficult or frustrating situation arises you are always the one to turn it around to a positive situation or to find a silver lining. I also love that whenever something positive or rewarding happens to someone else you are one of the first to celebrate their happiness and accomplishments with them instead of being jealous or envious. That is so important to living a happy life, and I know your life will be filled with rewards whether they are big or small. As the saying goes, “Love to Live and Live to Love.” I love you.

Love,

Mom

Katie and Emma

Dear Emma,

I can’t believe this year is my 20th year celebrating Mother’s Day. I am so blessed and lucky to have two amazing kids who spoil me every year. I love all of our special Mother’s Day memories with breakfast in bed, handwritten cards, gifts made at school and beautiful hand picked bouquets. Remember that year that you made me the jar filled with little love notes for everyday of the year? I still go back and cherish that.

You and your brother are the greatest gift that I could ever ask for. Your love and support have been my guiding light through the ups and downs of life and I am forever grateful for the bonds we share. I am so proud to be your mom, I am in awe of how you handle life’s challenges and adversity. I am so so proud of your success at school, and it’s a hard school, so incredible job, and the friend that you are. You are so loved by so many and you are such a great friend. Even though when you’re away at school you still talk to me every day, you tell me your fun college stories, some I don’t really want to hear, but I love hearing regardless. You make me laugh and sometimes cry and you always ask me “Are you crying? Are you crying? Why are you crying mom? Stop crying.”

I love when you come home, even though the house gets messy, the laundry piles up, and my clothes go missing. I adore our time together. I am so lucky to have a daughter who loves to do what I do. I cherish our weekend walks to the local shops. We love the same things. You might put them together a little differently, but it is always such a bonus that we get to share the same things, even our shoes, even though sometimes they accidentally go in your suitcase on the way back to college. I love you so much Emma. Thank you for being my daughter. You’re my best friend, and I cherish all of our special moments we spend together, and I know that there are so many more beautiful memories to come.

I love you honey.

Dear mom,

I feel so lucky to be able to call you not only my mom, but also, my best friend. Words are not enough to express my gratitude to you and our special relationship. Your love, support, and guidance means the world to me and is something I will treasure forever. Thank you for all of the small and big things you have taught me. Your hard work, dedication, and selflessness inspires me daily, and I am constantly in awe of your strength and resilience. I will forever cherish our special memories, between singing our favorite songs in the car, dance parties in the backyard, laying on the beach, shopping and playing dress up, and sharing closets, even though sometimes we tiff about who gets to wear what. You are truly my inspiration, and I would not be the woman I am today without your guidance. I love you forever and ever.

Emma
