Z SUPPLY Foundation x Women for Hope
In honor of International Women's Day this year, the Z SUPPLY Foundation donated $1,000 to Women for Hope, an organization that Z SUPPLY President Mandy Fry has been a proud member of for several years.

Who is Women for Hope?

With homelessness, addiction, and mental health issues challenging our communities, a small group of women came together to discuss how to financially support the transformational programs that address these community challenges. This initial steering committee included Shana Conzelman, Jackie Nowlin, Heidi Mendoza, and Debbie Grover, and the organization is a part of Orange County Rescue Mission.

Orange County Rescue Mission is a nonprofit organization that delivers hope and restoration to homeless men, women, children, and veterans. Headquartered in Tustin with campuses throughout Southern California, the Rescue Mission serves approximately 1,579,478 meals and provides 145,993 shelter and bed nights per year, and has long-term housing programs focused on transitioning homeless individuals and families out of homelessness and into economic self-sufficiency without the use of government funds.

To learn more about their impacts and her inspirations, we asked Mandy to share her experience as a member of both Women for Hope and Z SUPPLY.

Why did you join Women for Hope?

I like the fact that it is a group where you can decide and design your level of involvement–from simply writing a check, attending events, or volunteering.  This amazing group was established back in 2018 with the intent to educate, raise support, and make a positive impact in assisting those homeless men, women, and children that are seeking life change through Orange County Rescue Mission.

What impacts have been made through the organization?

Each member supports the needs by donating a minimum of $1,000 a year, and at the end of the year, we vote on the programs we, as a group, want to support. One hundred percent of this donation will go straight to the needs of the least, the last, and the lost of our community. Thousands of lives have already been impacted. To date, the impact from members has been amazing. Since their first year in 2018, they have raised and directly granted $528,859. In addition, members and their families have provided an additional $2.5 million in donations to further the mission of the Rescue Mission.

How does working within a women-led company empower you?

While I am empowered by everyone on our team, working among so many talented women leaders for a women’s brand is special. We foster a supportive environment and the end result is incredible product that we are proud of season after season.
