This notice describes how Z-Supply and its subsidiaries, affiliates, and related entities (collectively, “Z-Supply,” “Company,” “we,” or “us”) use[s] automated decision-making technologies (“ADMT”) to make decisions about consumers. This ADMT pre-use notice provides information in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), along with other useful information regarding our ADMT use and your ability to opt-out of and/or appeal ADMT -related decisions. Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this policy.  ADMT are technologies that process personal information and use computation to execute a decision and either replace or substantially replace human decision-making, resulting in decisions made without human involvement.

 

By contrast, decisions are made with human involvement whenever human reviewers: 1) review and analyze both the technology's output and any other relevant decision-making information, 2) have the authority to make or change the decision based on their own review and analysis, and 3) know how to interpret and use the technology’s output to make the decision. Decisions made with this level of human involvement are not ADMT and are outside this notice's scope.

 

Decisions are significant when they result in the provision or denial of housing, Financial services, lending services, healthcare services, education enrollment or opportunities, employment and independent contracting opportunities or compensation, and essential goods and services. Advertising is not a significant decision. ADMTs used to make decisions that are not significant are outside this notice’s scope.

 

Why We Use Fesona and How it Works

We use Fesona to provide a fair and sustainable shopping experience for all customers, Z-Supply utilizes automated processing and AI-driven analytics to evaluate the risk associated with individual transactions. Fesona analyzes historical transaction data and return frequencies to assign a risk profile to certain purchases.

  • Fesona may use the following categories of personal information, which affects its output:
    • Customer Records;
    • Commercial Information;
    • Order Economics and Margin Signals; and
    • Inferences drawn therefrom
  • Outputs generated by the Fesona’s personal information processing may include:
    • Confidence score of the prediction; and
    • Recommendations about return policy

 

Certain customers, based on their shopping history, may be offered the option to designate their purchase as final sale in exchange for promotional offers. This offer may appear at checkout and must be voluntarily selected by the customer at that time. If a customer does not receive this offer, or chooses not to opt in, then Z Supply’s standard Terms of Service and return policy will apply. 

 

Fesona’s output is the sole factor in making the decisions to designate their purchase with a final sale offer in exchange for promotional offers. Humans are not involved in the decision-making process except to provide quality control and conduct periodic reviews of the policy.

 

Customers are entitled to appeal the return policy by contacting Z-Supply’s customer service number at 949-825-7247. You cannot opt out of this use of automated decision-making technology because we provide you with the right to appeal the decision, as described above, which satisfies the applicable exception to the opt-out requirement under California law.

 

Fesona Summary

To provide a fair and sustainable shopping experience for all customers, Z-Supply utilizes automated processing and AI-driven analytics to evaluate the risk associated with individual transactions.

  • How it Works: We analyze historical transaction data, return frequencies to assign a risk profile to a purchase.

  • The Impact: Based on this risk assessment, Z-Supply reserves the right to offer customers the option for “Final Sale” in exchange for “Store Credit” to apply to a future purchase. Opting in is optional and not required to complete a purchase. If a customer opts into the “Final Sale” option presented at checkout, this may include, but is not limited to, limiting a transaction to “Store Credit Only” or marking specific items as “Final Sale.”

  • Your Rights: We are committed to fairness. If you believe your return eligibility has been restricted in error, or if you wish to contest an automated decision, please contact Z-Supply’s customer service team at 949-825-7247. We will manually review your account history and the specific transaction to ensure an equitable outcome.

 

Store Credit Terms

  • Expiration: Store credit issued for returns expires in 90 days and is valid until the full balance is redeemed, unless otherwise prohibited by local law.  

  • Redemption: In compliance with California Law, any gift card with a balance of less than $15 is redeemable for cash upon request. Customers may redeem gift cards, payment through electronic fund transfer to the account or credit card provided.  Customers who wish to receive payment by physical check, may reach out to Z Supply’s customer service line at 949-825-7247.

  • Z Supply Final Sale Credit is not a gift certificate, gift card, or cash equivalent product. It is non-transferable, may not be gifted or sold, and cannot be purchased.
